Synthetic Barium Sulfate

Blancfixe grades are available in ultra-fine submicron particle sizes. Basofix-P® offers an average particle size (D50) of 0.5–0.9 µm, while Precipitated Barium Sulphate grades are available with D50 of 0.8–1.2 µm for excellent dispersion and processing performance.

Blancfixe acts as a spacer pigment in color masterbatches, helping improve pigment dispersion, color strength, gloss, opacity, and brilliance. It also enables partial replacement of TiO₂ and costly pigments while maintaining excellent surface finish and processing stability.

Our Blancfixe grades are suitable for white and color masterbatches, thermoplastic and thermoset compounds, engineering plastics, CPVC and acoustic pipes, automotive components, appliance compounds, injection molded products, extrusion applications, and rubber compounds.

Blancfixe grades provide excellent dispersion, high gloss, improved opacity, superior color brilliance, better thermo-mechanical strength, scratch resistance, dimensional stability, and enhanced processing efficiency. Their chemically inert nature ensures excellent resistance to water, acids, alkalis, and solvents, while their high specific gravity contributes to sound dampening and durability in plastic applications.
