About Aluminium Silicate

Engineered Aluminium Silicate is developed to provide functional filling, opacity support, particle packing and thermal-management benefits across coatings and other industrial formulations. Its controlled particle morphology and aspect ratio help improve surface coverage, coating integrity and light or heat management depending on the grade design. Within the 20 Microns portfolio, engineered aluminium silicate technology is used in performance additives such as Hypertherm for thermal-reflective coatings and also forms part of its broader white pigment opacifier range.

Hypertherm is a thermally treated aluminum silicate additive designed to reflect solar and infrared rays, reducing surface heat buildup when integrated into paint formulations.

It’s ideal for roof coatings, exterior paints, texture paints, and other cool roof applications that require solar heat reflection and temperature reduction.

By reflecting heat and lowering surface temperature, Hypertherm minimizes cooling load, resulting in reduced indoor heat transfer and lower energy consumption.

Hypertherm performs best in water-based and white paint formulations. Compatibility testing is recommended for other coating types.

Hypertherm complies with ASTM C 1549 standards, demonstrating a Total Solar Reflectance (TSR) of over 80%, ensuring superior cooling performance.
